At Lewis Family & Implant Dentistry, our high-tech dental office uses advanced tools, from 3D dental scanning to computer-assisted design. We make your visit efficient, comfortable, and precise! X-Ray Equipment

X-rays allow us to take in-depth images of your teeth, gums, and jaw. These images help us diagnose problems, and we’ll typically find cavities, infections, gum disease, bone damage, and other issues. The sensors we use for our X-rays are digital and have extremely low doses of radiation. In fact, the dose is so low that it is no longer required to wear the protective lead aprons. This amazing technology is safer and more efficient than ever.

We also use the cone beam computerized tomography (CBCT) 3D X-ray machine. It creates high-resolution 3D images of the area scanned. It’s great at evaluating bone density, infections, TMJ, and bone loss. This allows us to do a virtual surgery with implant placement on a 3D replication of your exact mouth. By having this technology at our fingertips, we are able to plan and deliver accurate implant placement in the most efficient and safe manner.

Dental Scanners

Also known as intraoral scanners, scanners capture 3D dental impressions to create accurate models of your teeth.  These models are used in concert with our other advanced equipment to produce crowns, bridges, nightguards, retainers, and surgical guides for implants. They’re also useful in documenting and detecting any oral issues.

We use the Primescan digital impressions scanner. Primescan scanners are quicker, more precise, and easier to use than other dental scanners.

The old ways of doing dental imaging were often uncomfortable and invasive. Thankfully, dental imaging technology has improved considerably in recent years, but one thing remains unchanged—the critical role it plays.

Both tools help professionals like us see different things about your oral health. You’ll stand or sit while the machine rotates around your head for about 20 seconds. It’s a completely painless process, and you won’t feel anything.

Cerec Primemill

Our Cerec Primemill helps fix or replace teeth, with procedures such as crowns, bridges,  veneers, and bonding.

We design and fabricate chairside restorations with esthetic ceramic (CEREC) “Crown in 1 day” equipment. Which is used for tooth restructuring and dental restorations. Restorations can sometimes be done in one appointment!

SprintRay 3D printer

3-D Printers

We use the SprintRay 3D printer, which is used for seamless modeling for aligners, night guards, bleach trays, implant surgical guides, retainers , and more. It makes our work faster and more accurate, giving you back some time!

Dental AI

We know artificial intelligence has caused quite the buzz, but here at Lewis Family & Implant Dentistry, we use it as a digital assistant.

We have added Pearl AI-assisted X-ray diagnostics to our practice. This is used for analyzing dental X-rays to better detect dental issues, such as cavities, infections, and bone loss. Dental AI is used to assist our staff in diagnosing issues, especially when it comes to X-rays.

Anesthesia

At Lewis Family & Implant Dentistry, we can administer local anesthetics for anything from cleanings to root canals. We want all of our patients to be as comfortable as possible!

Ultrasonic Scalers

Ultrasonic Scaling Devices and Ultrasonic Scalers are used to remove difficult patches of tartar from teeth, especially in the treatment of periodontitis. This device uses ultrasonic vibrations that help break down plaque and calculus, which can cause gingivitis and periodontal disease.

More about ultrasonic scalers:

  • No chemicals are used, only water.
  • Removes tartar in hard-to-reach areas, causing no damage to the tooth enamel.
  • The vibration produced by the scaling tip of an Ultrasonic Scaler is barely perceptible.
  • Ultrasonic cleaning is not painful, so suitable to those with sensitive teeth.
  • The cleaning process is fast

iTero Scanning

We use a handheld wand to scan your mouth, creating a digital impression of your mouth without the mess or bad taste of traditional mold materials. These digital impressions can be sent electronically to the dental lab, eliminating mailing time and shortening the turnaround for the lab-created appliance. 

Traditional mold impressions can sometimes result in several visits to find the right crown fit, but with digital imaging, we can eliminate guesswork. Digital imaging significantly improves restorations and patient experience.
